Role play exercises on board Saaf Express

The opening of the Saaf express stand at the International Railway Exhibition was followed by over 100 railway executives and industry experts engaged in a role-play, staged by actors of the theatre collective Park Free Entertainment, experiencing various concepts (prototypes) for waste management on board trains. Concepts include the ticket inspector acting as a waste educator and coach, housekeeping services handing out and collecting waste bags designed for separation of dry and wet waste, and visual communication about the relevance of careful waste management. The Saaf India team collected feedback and ideas from all participants, to be used for the development of solutions that will be piloted in 2014.
